Decision outlines conditions for public and private chargers to boost green mobility
SHARJAH: The Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) has issued a decision regulating electric vehicle charging stations in the Emirate.
The decision is aimed at organising the installation and operation of such stations in the emirate.
It seeks to provide an advanced infrastructure associated with EV chargers, including connection applications and tariffs related to electric vehicle supply equipment and charging services.

Moreover, it addresses a number of legal provisions concerning scope of application, conditions for installation and operation in public and private areas, safety and quality standards, violations and administrative penalties, regulatory decisions, as well as enforcement and publication.
