Dubai: A Kazakh national has become the latest UAE millionaire in the Dubai Duty free draw.
Rishat Tyulegenov, a Kazakh national based in Kazakhstan, won $1 million at Dubai Duty Free’s Millennium Millionaire Series 362 draw today with ticket number 0517, which he purchased online on June 2.
The Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw was held at Concourse D at the Dubai International Airport.
Tyulegenov is the third Kazakhstan national to win US$1 million since the start of the Millennium Millionaire promotion in 1999. He is not reachable, however, and is unaware of his big win.
Other winners
Indian expat Lissymol Johnson, 48, residing in Sharjah won a Mercedes Benz GLS 580 4M (Mojave Silver) car, with ticket number 0555 in Finest Surprise Series 1777, which she purchased online on June 21. A resident of Sharjah for more than 10 years now, Johnson was emotional when she learnt about her win. She said : “I’m beyond grateful.”
Dubai resident Chandran Vazhakkangil, 51 from India won a Harley-Davidson Softail Standard FXST (Vivid Black) motorbike, ticket number 0856 in Finest Surprise Series 459, which he purchased online on June 10.A resident of Dubai for 12 years now, Vazhakkangil works for a photography studio in Dubai.
Jordanian expat Ala Fakhoury, 35 year from Jordan won a Harley-Davidson Sporster Forty-Eight XL 1200X (Vivid Black) motorbike, with ticket number 0047 in Finest Surprise Series 460, which she purchased online on June 21. Fakhoury, who works as a civil engineer for Al Hammad Contracting company was ecstatic when he heard his name announced on the live draw on Dubai Duty Free’s official Facebook page. “This is such a pleasant surprise! Thank very much for this amazing gift Dubai Duty Free,” he said. A resident of Dubai for 11 years, Fakhoury started buying ticket to Dubai Duty Free promotion at the beginning of this year.
The Millennium Millionaire draw was conducted by Dubai Duty Free’s Executive Vice-Chairman & CEO, Colm McLoughlin, COO Ramesh Cidambi and EVP - Corporate Services, Salah Tahlak.
Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, the Finest Surprise draw was conducted for three luxury vehicles Joining in the draw line-up was Mona Al Ali, SVP – HR, Michael Schmidt, SVP - Retail Support, Zayed Al Shebli, VP - Loss Prevention and Corporate Security and an official from Dubai Airport.
