Advanced security strategies, include use of AI, cutting-edge technologies
Dubai: Ajman has ranked first in the UAE for daytime safety – achieving a perfect 100 per cent score in 2024 – alongside the capital, Abu Dhabi, according to the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre’s Security Quality of Life Survey.
The emirate also recorded an impressive 99 per cent in the national index for feeling safe when walking alone at night, a notable improvement from its 2023 score of 98.5 per cent. These results strengthen the UAE’s standing as a secure, stable, and desirable place to live.
Here’s how they did it
Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, credited the accomplishment to the force’s advanced security strategies. These include the use of cutting-edge technologies and artificial intelligence through the smart surveillance system “Ajman – A Safe Home,” the launch of smart gates, increased patrol presence, and enhanced emergency response systems.
He highlighted improvements in police operations across comprehensive police stations, as well as the launch of several security, traffic, and readiness initiatives that ensure swift response times. Community engagement efforts led by social protection units and community policing have also played a vital role in maintaining a close and trusting relationship with residents.

Major General Al Nuaimi expressed his deep appreciation for the unwavering support of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman; Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council; and Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior.
He emphasised that such achievements not only boost public confidence but also contribute to the nation’s economic growth and the successful implementation of key national strategies, including the UAE’s “We the UAE 2031” vision, Ajman Vision 2030, and the UAE Centennial 2071.
