Dubai: Dubai residents and visitors can now buy nol Travel Cards at selected Al Ansari Exchange branches, giving commuters another way to access Dubai's public transport payment system.

Al Ansari Exchange has partnered with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in association with MDX Technology Solutions ME, to make the cards available through selected branches across the city.

The move expands the number of places where residents and tourists can purchase a nol card, while adding the travel product to Al Ansari Exchange's growing range of third-party services.

Al Ansari Exchange, a subsidiary of Al Ansari Financial Services PJSC, operates one of the UAE's largest exchange-house branch networks.

The company said the partnership forms part of its strategy to build a connected physical and digital ecosystem offering customers access to financial, payment and everyday lifestyle services.

How nol works

The nol Travel Card is used for cashless payments across Dubai's public transport network.

It can be used on: Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, public buses, marine transport, and public parking.

The card is also accepted at more than 14,000 retail outlets across the UAE. Through the nol Pay App, cardholders can also access more than 200 lifestyle offers and discounts.

Musad Ibrahim Alhammadi, Director of Automated Collection Systems at Corporate Technology Support Services Sector at RTA, said the additional distribution channel would make mobility services more accessible.

“Expanding the availability of nol Travel Cards through strategic collaborations supports RTA's efforts to make mobility services more accessible across Dubai.”

He added that providing additional distribution channels would help encourage wider adoption of digital payment solutions and improve the travel experience for residents and visitors.

Al Ansari expands

For Al Ansari Exchange, the partnership is part of a broader push to expand beyond traditional remittance and foreign exchange services.

Ali Al Najjar, Chief Executive Officer of Al Ansari Exchange, said customer expectations were changing and the company was responding by bringing together financial, payment and lifestyle services through its branches and digital platforms.

“As customer expectations continue to evolve, we are expanding the role of Al Ansari Exchange beyond traditional financial transactions by bringing together financial, payment and everyday lifestyle services through both our branch network and digital platforms.”

He said making nol Travel Cards available through Al Ansari's branches “complements our broader strategy of creating a seamless customer experience” while supporting Dubai's vision of a smart, digitally connected city.

The nol partnership comes as Al Ansari continues to expand the range of services available through its branch network.

The company recently marked 10 years of its partnership with Dubai Municipality, through which individual and corporate customers can pay government service fees at Al Ansari Exchange branches across the UAE.

Annual Dubai Municipality collections made through Al Ansari have increased by approximately 710 per cent over the past decade, according to the company.

In April 2026, Al Ansari also expanded its partnership with Etihad Credit Bureau, allowing UAE residents to obtain personal credit reports directly from more than 285 Al Ansari Exchange branches across the country.

Meanwhile, Al Ansari Financial Services reported a 28.7 per cent drop in first-half net profit to Dh151 million, as geopolitical pressures, weaker activity across some remittance corridors and tougher competition squeezed profitability.
