Dubai: A 40-year-old Saudi woman was shot dead by her husband in Tabuk, north-western of Saudi Arabia, Okaz Arabic daily reported on Wednesday.
The 50-year-old Saudi husband turned himself into security authorities and confessed to police that he killed his wife due to family disputes. The murder happened on early morning of Wednesday.
Upon preliminary investigations, the accused told police that he involved in a heated brawl with his wife at their house in Abu Sabaa neighbourhood in southern Tabuk.
“I lost control and shot my wife several bullets, I confess that I have killed her,” the husband told interrogators at the police station.
He was referred to the public prosecution and was remanded in police custody pending further investigations and trial.
Investigations are underway to determinate the circumstances of the murder incident.
