Cairo: Oman Saturday recorded 1,067 further cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the country's total infections to 74,858, the Omani news agency ONA reported.
The newly diagnosed cases include 959 Omanis and 108 foreign residents, the Health Ministry said without disclosing nationality of the foreign patients.
Twelve new deaths from COVID-19 have taken Oman's total such fatalities to 371.

The country's overall recoveries from the disease have increased by 1,054 to reach 54,061, the ministry added in an update.
In recent weeks, Oman has seen a spike in the virus infections, prompting authorities to tighten preventive measures. On Saturday, Oman started enforcing a full lockdown among its governorates for two weeks, including the Eid Al Adha holiday.
