Dubai: Commuters across the UAE are facing significant rush-hour traffic on Friday morning, with real-time Google Maps data confirming heavy congestion on key inter-emirate and city highways. The most affected routes are those connecting Sharjah to Dubai.

Accidents worsen traffic on E11 and E311

Multiple accidents have been reported on Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) near Al Wahda Street and Al Nahda, heading towards Dubai. Meanwhile, incidents on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) near Muwaileh Bus Terminal are also causing delays inbound from Sharjah.

E311 and Emirates Road gridlock continues

Delays are concentrated on the inbound lanes of E311 and Emirates Road (E611) from the Sharjah border, with stop-start conditions through Muhaisnah and Mirdif. Commuters are advised to allow extra travel time or consider alternative routes where possible.

Morning congestion continues to disrupt Northern Emirates residents travelling to Dubai for work, with peak-hour delays becoming a regular part of the daily commute.

Stay focused: Dubai Police

Dubai Police have reminded motorists via social media to stay focused while driving. Drivers are advised to keep their eyes on the road and remain mindful of other vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and potential distractions.
