Authorities urge visitors to plan ahead, follow updated routes for holiday rush
Dubai: As the four-day Eid Al Adha holiday runs from June 5 to 8, 2025, Dubai Mall is preparing for a surge in visitors drawn by festive shopping deals and the comfort of indoor attractions amid the summer heat.
With soaring daytime temperatures, malls remain a top choice for residents and tourists alike. Dubai Mall, in particular, is expected to see large crowds thanks to its seasonal retail promotions, entertainment offerings, and diverse dining options.
However, ongoing expansion works may lead to traffic delays and limited parking. Authorities are urging visitors to plan ahead, use public transport, and follow updated access routes for a smoother experience during the holiday rush.
Dubai Mall’s Grand Parking (694 spaces) was closed to make way for the upcoming Grand Drive, opening in August. Key changes included temporary closure of Financial Centre ramps and Grand Drive valet services, traffic rerouted via Grand Drive and Cinema Parking P3, and recommended use of Fashion, Cinema, or Zabeel parking zones. Visitors were advised to follow updated signage for redirected internal access roads.
Dubai Mall offered 6 hours of free parking during Eid Al Adha. Public parking across Dubai—including Parkin-managed areas—was free from June 5 to 8, excluding multi-level structures. Regular fees resumed on June 9.
Salik applied variable toll pricing across all 10 gates from June 5 to 8: Dh6 during peak hours (6am–10am, 4pm–8pm), Dh4 off-peak (10am–4pm, 8pm–1am), and no tolls from 1am to 6am. This system aims to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow.
Authorities urged visitors to use public transport due to congestion and limited parking:
Dubai Metro: Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Station connects directly via a climate-controlled Metro Link Bridge. Operating hours were 10 am–12 am (Mon–Wed) and 10 am–1 am (Thu–Sat). Feeder Bus F13 links to the mall entrance.
Dubai Tram & Buses: Extended hours from 5:00 am to 1:00 am daily, with revised schedules accessible via the S’hail app.
Other Options: Taxis at P3 Zabeel, P3 Cinema, and P4 Fashion Avenue; ride-hailing at The Village and Fashion Avenue Boulevard; priority access for People of Determination and seniors. Public buses Route 27 and 29 connect Dubai Mall with major points, while Ras Al Khaimah intercity buses operated on weekends.
