What is Salik?

Salik, which means ‘open’ or ‘clear’ in Arabic, is a toll system that allows for seamless travel across Dubai's highways. There are no toll booths or barriers - just drive through the toll gates at normal highway speeds. The toll is automatically deducted from your account, allowing you to keep moving without the need for manual payment.

How does Salik work?

To use Salik, you simply need to attach a Salik sticker tag to your vehicle's windshield. This tag is linked to your prepaid Salik account. Ensure that your account has enough balance to cover any toll charges

How is the toll automatically paid?

When you pass through a Salik toll gate, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology detects your vehicle and scans the Salik tag on your windshield. The toll is then automatically deducted from your prepaid account, making the process quick and hassle-free.
