Fire at under-construction building in Sharjah

Sharjah: A fire broke out at an under-construction building in Sharjah on Tuesday afternoon, Sharjah Civil Defence has confirmed.

No casualties were reported.

The fire broke out in the parking bays of the building on King Faisal Road at 2.09pm.

Sharjah Civil Defence officials said firefighters controlled the flames and evacuated the workers from the building for their safety.

The reason behind the fire is being determined, officials added.
