Sharjah: Sharjah Civil Defence’s Marine Rescue Unit successfully rescued a man found in the open sea in a life-threatening condition during a routine patrol. The team quickly reached the individual, brought him aboard their vessel, and administered urgent first aid before transferring him to medical authorities. The man was transferred to the National Ambulance service and promptly taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
In recognition of the team’s swift and professional response, Brigadier Yousif Obaid Bin Harmoul Al Shamsi, Director General of Sharjah Civil Defence, honoured the rescue crew, praising their high level of readiness and commitment. He stressed the authority’s ongoing efforts to support its teams and enhance their capabilities to safeguard lives and ensure public safety.
