As thousands of Dubai residents, citizens and visitors run, jog, and walk on Sheikh Zayed Road for Dubai Run, you may be facing some issues getting to where you want to be.

Fortunately, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority has the answer. It tweeted on Nov 23, "Download S'hail app or use RTA journey planner available on our website to check all the bus routes and timings, and to plan your journey in advance for a more comfortable journey experience."

If you haven't left home yet, these are the routes affected by the annual event:

Roads closed for the Dubai Run

According to the RTA, the following routes will be fully or partially closed during the event:

  • A stretch of Sheikh Zayed Road, between the Trade Centre Roundabout and Al Hadiq Road bridge

  • Lower Financial Centre Street, between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road

  • One-way direction of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard

  • One-way lane of Al Sukook Street

  • Parking areas parallel to Sheikh Zayed Road will also remain closed for the duration of the run
