Dubai: A fire broke out at an automobile market in the Ras Al Khor area of Al Awir district in Dubai in the early hours of Tuesday morning, Gulf News learnt.
Firefighters from Dubai Civil Defence controlled the blaze without reports of any injuries.
According to a Dubai Civil Defence spokesperson, the fire occurred at 5.28am in an auto market at Ras Al Khor.
“Firefighters from Nad Al Sheba Fire Station arrived at the spot at 5.34am. By that time, the fire had spread to several shops. Back-up personnel and equipment from Al Rashidiya, Port Saeed and Al Qusais Fire Stations arrived at the spot at 5.57am to control the fire,” the Civil Defence spokesperson said. The fire was brought under control at 6.12am without reports of any injuries.

“The fire had spread to eight auto shops and 55 cars were damaged. It was brought under control within 41 minutes of receiving the emergency call,” the spokesperson added.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.
