Saudi man arrested for allegedly killing wife, brother

Cairo: Police arrested a Saudi man on suspicion of killing his wife and his brother in the holy city of Mecca on Thursday, a local newspaper reported.

The suspect fatally stabbed his wife inside their house and then shot dead his brother outside the place following an altercation before he fled the scene, Saudi online newspaper Sabq said.

The murder took place in Mecca’s district of Al Shara on Wednesday night.

The paper said that the killer had been handed over to the police who will refer the incident to public prosecution.

Neither the suspect’s age nor the motive for the murder was immediately known.
