Cairo: All state and private public institutions in Saudi Arabia are obliged to hoist the national flag over their buildings under new official instructions, according to a media report.

Royal Advisor Prince Khaled Al Faisal, who is also the governor of Holy Mecca, has issued directives to all institutions in the kingdom to hoist the flag over their buildings every day of the week, Saudi news porter Ajel said.

The directives come after Prince Khaled noticed that some governmental and private sectors have failed to raise the national flag atop their buildings in violation of the Saudi Flag Law.

“The new directive from Prince Khaled will be monitored and its implementation followed up by the agencies concerned according to related stipulations,” a source added.
