Dubai: Qatar has reported 879 new cases of COVID-19, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 93,668, according to the Ministry of Public Health.

It’s the second Gulf country to cross 90,000 cases after Saudi Arabia although it has been showing a downward trend in the recent days.

One new death was also reported, taking the death toll to 110 in the country. Additionally, 1,153 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recovered patients in Qatar to 77,225.

During the past 24 hours, 14 people have been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), bringing the total number of people currently in intensive care units to 205. Currently, the active cases stand at 16,328.

The ministry conducted 3,777 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 345,691.
