Dubai: Qatar announced 199 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 125,745.

No new deaths have been reported during the past 24 hours, keeping the country’s fatality tally at 214, the Ministry of Public Health said during its daily coronavirus update on Tuesday.

A further 212 infected people have fully recovered, pushing the total recovered cases to 122,911.

The ministry also announced that active cases have dropped to 2,834, including 409 critical cases and 58 seriously ill patients who are still under intensive care.

Also, 5,214 people have taken PCR tests during the last 24 hours, pushing the total number of people tested across the country to 781,128.
