Dubai: More than 197,000 passengers have departed from Kuwait while about 135,000 arrived on board 1,965 flights by various airlines since Aug 1 until yesterday, local media reported.

According to Director of Operations Department at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Mansour Al Hashimi, all flights that depart and arrive in the country come within the first phase operation not exceeding 30 percent. Majority of departing flights were for Turkey, Dubai and Doha.

Expats from the 34 banned countries who wish to return to Kuwait are requested to stay in an un-banned country for a period of 14 days, and provide a PCR certificate besides adhering to health requirements upon arrival in the country with 14 days home quarantine.
