Kuwait City: The head of the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Yousef Al Fouzan, revealed that flights from Kuwait to Egypt will resume, local media reported.

EgyptAir, Kuwait Airways and Al Jazeeera, will have been given the green light to operate flights for those in Kuwait looking to travel to Egypt, under the condition that the number of passengers departing does not exceed 600 per day (300 passengers on the Egyptian airlines and 300 passengers on the Kuwaiti airlines).

Al Fouzan told Al Rai that EgyptAir request to resume flights has been approved after they submitted a proposal to reopen the airspace.

The resumption of flights comes after a 4-month halt.

Back in August, Kuwait announced a travel ban on passengers arriving from 31 countries that it deemed as ‘high risk’. Egypt was amongst the banned countries, promoting Egyptian officials to stop air travel between the two countries.
