Dubai: A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck southwest of Kuwait on Tuesday, according to the Kuwait National Seismic Network.

In a statement, the network said the tremor was recorded in the Al Manaqeesh area at 1:27pm local time, at a depth of 5 kilometres below the surface.
