Dubai: Get ready to lace up your running shoes - Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2025 is bringing back indoor mall runs across the city.

Kicking off at Ibn Battuta Mall on July 13, the DSS indoor run series offers distances for all ages and fitness levels, with early bird registration now open starting from Dh85.

The series continues at Mall of the Emirates on August 3, followed by Wafi Mall on August 10 - both organised by Dubai Sports Council and managed by Peloton Events.

The final race of the season is set for August 31 at Dubai Festival City Mall, with music, cool-down zones and giveaways planned to wrap up the summer with a family-friendly morning of fitness.

1. Ibn Battuta Mall – July 13

Kickstarting the DSS indoor run series is Ibn Battuta Mall this Saturday, July 13. Runners will race through the ground floor of the mall before opening hours, starting at 6:45am. Participants can choose from 2.5km, 5km, or 10km distances, all set within the mall’s fully air-conditioned corridors.

Entry includes:

  • Finisher’s medal

  • Event t-shirt

  • Podium medals for the top three in each age group

Registration - Sign up by selecting your race category, adding personal and emergency contact details, and completing payment. Early bird tickets start from Dh85.

2. Dubai Hills Mall – July 20

Dubai Hills Mall joins the line-up with a morning indoor run on 20 July at 7:30am.

Choose from 1km, 2.5km, 5km or 10km routes, with upbeat music and aid stations along the way. Whether you're training or just trying something new, this mall run offers a fun, family-friendly way to get your steps in.

Tickets: From Dh50 to Dh100

3. Mall of the Emirates  - August 3

On 3 August, Mall of the Emirates hosts a unique race experience through its iconic hallways. Organised by the Dubai Sports Council and managed by Peloton Events, this indoor run offers live results, medals, event photos and a relaxed atmosphere for runners of all skill levels.

Distances include - 2.5km, 5km, and 10km
Deadline - Register before August 2 or until spots run out. Changes and cancellations are allowed within the terms.

3. Wafi Mall  - August 10

Next up is Wafi Mall, hosting its DSS run on 10 August. Runners can pick from four distances: 500m, 2.5km, 5km, or 10km.

Ticket prices:

  • 10km – Dh126

  • 5km – Dh94.50

  • 2.5km – Dh73.50

  • 500m – Dh52.50

Dubai Festival City Mall – August 31

Wrapping up the DSS series is Dubai Festival City Mall on  August 31. The final run of the season will feature energising music, cool-down zones, and giveaways. It's a family-friendly fitness event perfect for closing out the summer.

How to register

To take part in the Ibn Battuta Mall indoor run on 13 July, participants can register directly through this link - my.raceresult.com/346323/registration.

For all other DSS mall runs, including events at Mall of the Emirates, Wafi Mall, Dubai Hills Mall, and Dubai Festival City Mall, registration is available via premieronline.com.

Once on the website, select ‘Running’ as the sport and ‘UAE’ as the country to view the available events and complete your registration.

All events require advance registration. Participants will need to enter their personal information and emergency contact details, choose their preferred race distance, and complete the payment online.

A confirmation will be sent by email, along with details about the race pack collection and event day logistics.
