The event drew together the vibrant Pakistani community in the UAE along with their friends and well-wishers. The lighting ceremony celebrated not only Pakistan’s rich history but also the enduring friendship between the UAE and Pakistan.

As the world’s tallest building glowed in green and white, it stood as a beacon of unity, peace, and shared heritage.

For many spectators, seeing the national flag on such a monumental structure was a deeply emotional moment, symbolising pride, resilience, and the strength of community bonds. The gesture reflects Dubai’s commitment to honouring diverse cultures and fostering a spirit of inclusivity.

Earlier today, the celebrations began with flag-hoisting ceremonies at the Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate in Dubai, where hundreds of community members participated with enthusiastic patriotic fervour.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, noted that the festivities build on the massive August 10 event held at Dubai Expo City, attended by an estimated 60,000 community members – the largest Pakistan Independence Day celebration anywhere in the world.
