UAE Lottery: He started playing from Day 1, expat finally wins Dh100,000

A UAE resident who has been participating in the UAE Lottery since its very first draw has finally struck luck, winning Dh100,000 in the Lucky Chance category.

Vinod Ramesan Damodran, an expat who began playing in December 2024, said he first learnt about the lottery through a newspaper report.
“Actually, I came to know about it through the newspaper. Then I was looking and following it. Then an advertisement came. So, I logged in and spoke with friends to see if they wanted to join,” he said at the UAE Lottery studio.
“At its inception, it started on December 14. We started from then on, and we came on this journey.”

Damodran has been consistently buying tickets for months, hoping to land a win and finally his persistence paid off.
“This time I bought two tickets. We have a group of 10 people, including me,” he said.

Despite the Dh100,000 win, Damodran underlined he has no intention of stopping.
His sights remain firmly on the Dh100 million jackpot.

“The Dh100 million is still at stake. My hope is very high. So, my plan is to participate again in this. My wish is to have the same group members participating and joining the upcoming draws,” he added.
