Ajman: During the record-breaking rains in the UAE in April, an Egyptian woman in Ajman was unable to venture out to buy food.

Upon learning of her situation, an Ajman Police officer, Salah Muhammad Al Bloushi, took Umm Anas in his patrol vehicle so she could buy daily necessities. He also helped nine other stranded residents who were surrounding by water after the highest-ever rains last month.

To show her appreciation, Umm Anas shared a video on social media, which went viral, thanking Al Bloushi, Ajman Police and UAE authorities for their response during the rainstorm.

The Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, honoured Al Bloushi, who works at Al Hamidiya Comprehensive Police Station, for his humanitarian role towards members of society.

Al Bloushi expressed his gratitude to the Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police for the gesture, stressing that what he did for the public is a national and moral duty that reflects the positive image of the leadership of the UAE and Ajman Police.
