Abu Dhabi: A 60-year-old long-time British expat has got lucky in this week’s Big Ticket e-draw.

Warren Deane, who is working as a general manager, has called the UAE home for the past 38 years.

Arriving at the age of 22, he built his life and business here, met his wife, and is now proudly raising his family in the place he considers home.

Introduced to Big Ticket a couple of years ago through his wife’s friend, Deane decided to try his luck and has been purchasing tickets solo. This week, he is among the five winners who will each pocket Dh50,000.

When Deane got the winning call, he sensed that something was up.
I kinda knew when I saw the call from the Big Ticket Office and was hoping it was the grand prize,” he said.

Now, Deane plans to treat himself and his wife, whether through travel or something meaningful for the two of them.

He will continue purchasing Big Ticket and encourage others not to give up and keep trying.

“A friend of mine once told me, ‘It takes time, but with Big Ticket, you’ll always win something,’” he underlined.

This May, Big Ticket is offering Dh20 million in grand prize draw to be held on June 3. There are several other cash prizes to be won through the weekly draws, Big Win contest, Dream Car promotion, and more rewards. Tickets can be bought online through the official website, or at counters located in Zayed International Airport and Al Ain Airport.
