Big Ticket Abu Dhabi: Indian expat from Qatar drives home Range Rover

Abu Dhabi: It’s a lucky night for Indian nationals. While Thajudeen Aliyar Kunju, a resident of Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, bagged the Dh25 million grand prize in the Big Ticket draw, Venkata Giribabu Vulla, an Indian expat based in Qatar, has won a brand-new Range Rover Velar through the ‘Dream Car’ promotion.
Hailing from Andhra Pradesh, Vulla has been living in Qatar with his family for the past 18 years. The 50-year-old graphics officer has been a regular participant in Big Ticket draws for the past six years. And today, he is overwhelmed with emotion.

“I’m honestly at a loss for words. I’m so happy and overjoyed. All I can think about now is getting home quickly to share this incredible moment with my family.”

'Keep trying'

Vulla is on cloud nine after realising a long-awaited dream with a winning ticket number: 020933
“Winning this car feels like perfect timing, as buying a new vehicle was something I’d been planning for a while. Now, thanks to Big Ticket, that wish has come true.”

However, Vulla says he will continue to try his luck.
“I’ll definitely continue buying tickets because this is a genuine raffle. I encourage others to keep trying as well. One day, your dream might come true too.”
Big Ticket is turning up the heat this May with a massive Dh20 million grand prize up for grabs in the raffle draw scheduled for June 3.
