Mishal from Kozhikode was in city to spend time with his cousins

A 19-year-old Indian teenager who was in Dubai on a visit visa has reportedly died after falling from the top of a building in Deira.
The victim, Mohammed Mishal, hailed from Kozhikode district of Kerala. He had come to Dubai to spend time with his cousins, according to Haneefa K.K., a family friend.
“The tragic incident took place on Friday evening. He was staying with his cousins here while his parents remained in Kozhikode. He had been in Dubai for about 15 days,” Haneefa said.
On the day of the incident, Mishal had reportedly gone up to the terrace of a multi-storey building to take photographs of flights.
“He was passionate about photography. As the airport is nearby, he was likely trying to capture a close-up shot when his leg got stuck between two pipes and he lost balance, falling to the ground,” Haneefa said.
He was reportedly rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors could not save him.
According to Haneefa, Mishal was “a talented boy with an entrepreneurial mind”.
“His father runs a restaurant in Kozhikode. The family is devastated. He was their only son. Mishal was pursuing a diploma in civil engineering at a college in Kozhikode. After coming to Dubai, he was discussing plans for a business venture here. At just 19, he was an ambitious boy,” Haneefa added.
“It’s a tragic loss. We are completing the legal formalities and hope to repatriate his body soon,” he said.
