More than 1.45 million invoice and origin certificate attestations filed in UAE
February recorded the highest number of digital attestation requests in both categories
Abu Dhabi: More than 1.45 million requests to attest commercial invoices and certificates of origin were submitted through the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ electronic document attestation system during the first five months of 2026, ministry data show.
The eDAS system handled 1,453,333 requests between January and May, including 775,633 for commercial invoices and 677,700 for certificates of origin.

February recorded the highest monthly volume for both categories, with 214,376 commercial invoice requests and 190,853 certificate-of-origin requests.
For commercial invoices, the system processed 193,725 requests in January; 130,629 in March;117,730 in April; and 119,173 in May.
Certificate-of-origin attestations reached 169,007 in January, 113,670 in March, 101,496 in April and 102,674 in May.
The ministry’s eDAS 2.0 service provides digital attestation of commercial invoices and certificates of origin issued either in the UAE or abroad. The service is available around the clock, with a stated completion time of two minutes and a fee of Dh150 for each commercial invoice or certificate of origin.
Separate ministry data showed that its “Smart Mission” service received 2,766 attestation requests during the first half of 2026.
February again recorded the highest number, with 600 requests, followed by January with 582 and June with 471. April recorded 405 requests, March 368 and May 340.
The Smart Mission service allows customers to complete document attestation procedures through the ministry’s digital system as part of consular services offered through UAE missions abroad.
