Mohammad Khorsed Alam, a resident for four years, is thrilled
Dubai: Talk about beginner’s luck!
Mohammad Khorsed Alam, a 22-year-old water salesman from Bangladesh, struck gold on his very first attempt at Big Ticket. He won Dh50,000 in the weekly e-draw held in Abu Dhabi.
Living in Sharjah for the past four years, Alam joined a 20-member group to buy a ticket for the first time in Series 277 – and he won. However, when show host Bouchra first tried to reach him, his phone went unanswered both times.
Now, the young expat is all smiles.
“I’m really happy to hear about my win,” he said, adding that he plans to split the prize evenly among his group.
Will he try again? “Yes,” he replied.
His message to dreamers?
“Take a chance as anything is possible with a bit of luck.”
Big Ticket’s July promotion is down to its final week. The Dh20 million grand prize draw will take place live in Abu Dhabi on August 3. That night, there won’t be just one jackpot winner, but six additional lucky participants will each walk away with a consolation cash prize of Dh50,000. Big Ticket is also offering bundle promotions throughout the month. Tickets are available online at the official website or at counters located at Zayed International Airport and Al Ain Airport.
