Video: Man with burns and injuries airlifted from cargo ship to Abu Dhabi hospital

Abu Dhabi: A 50-year-old Indian man with severe burns and multiple injuries was airlifted from a cargo ship in UAE territorial waters.

The National Guard’s National Search and Rescue Centre carried out the emergency evacuation on Sunday, May 11.

The man, who was in urgent need of medical care, was transported from the vessel to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi using a search and rescue aircraft equipped for emergency medical evacuations.
