The RTA urged users to follow the new guidelines to help maintain the track's quality

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has banned high heels on the Jumeirah jogging track to ensure user safety and maintain the track’s condition.
The 7-kilometer track is a popular spot for walkers and joggers, making its upkeep crucial.
In a video posted on social media, the RTA explained that even brief use of improper footwear can cause damage and increase the risk of slipping.
The RTA urged users to comply with the new guidelines to help preserve the track, thus supporting Dubai's commitment to healthy lifestyles and infrastructure development.
The RTA has installed 67 warning signs along the 7-kilometer Jumeirah Beach jogging track, outlining prohibited activities to help users avoid legal issues. Whether you're a jogger or walker, be sure to follow these guidelines:
No pets on the track.
Avoid wearing high heels; choose appropriate footwear to prevent slips.
Skateboards, bicycles, and e-scooters are not permitted.
Smoking and littering are prohibited.
Do not sit or obstruct the track.
Penalties for violations
Violations may result in penalties. Existing regulations already impose fines for cycling/e-scooting outside designated zones (Dh200) and smoking in undesignated areas (from Dh500, increasing if near children).
