Dubai: Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, on Saturday announced the launch of the Erth Dubai Award, one of the world’s largest programs dedicated to cultural and social heritage.

The award invites residents, citizens, and long-term community members to document the stories that have shaped Dubai’s identity over generations.

Announcing the award on his official X account, Sheikh Hamdan said:
“Every family has a story, and every experience enriches Dubai’s journey. To honour this legacy, we launch the Erth Dubai Awards, one of the world’s largest initiatives celebrating cultural and social heritage.”

He added that the award is inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, highlighting Dubai’s belief that its future is strengthened by its past.

A separate track offers two awards for government and private institutions that contribute to preserving and sharing the emirate’s heritage.
