Dubai: A car was on fire at Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed road near International City, going towards Sharjah, Dubai Civil Defence said.
The command room received the emergency call at 7.22pm and fire fighters from Nad Al Sheba arrived at the scene at 7.29pm.
According to a civil defence spokesperson, the fire extended to nearby trees on the side of the road.
Back-up firefighters from Al Rashidiya fire station were dispatched and the team extinguished the fire by 7.40pm. No injuries were reported.
