Dubai: Dubai Courts have announced record-breaking judicial performance for the past year, surpassing target dismissal rates across all levels of litigation.
The Court of Cassation achieved a rate of 112 per cent by dismissing 6,210 cases out of 5,549 registered, while the rate in the primary courts reached 107 per cent by dismissing 61,804 cases out of 57,784 registered.

To achieve expedited justice, Dubai Courts implemented a comprehensive strategy built on two key pillars: speed of case resolution and accuracy of judgments.

Case resolution times were reduced to 74 days in the primary courts, 75 days in the appellate courts, and 73 days in the cassation courts. Judgment accuracy reached 85 per cent in the primary courts and 86 per cent in the appellate courts. These outcomes were supported by an advanced electronic system that measures judgment quality and analyses reasons for amendments.

The announcement was made during a media event held under the patronage of Professor Dr Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director of Dubai Courts, and attended by Judge Abdul Qader Mousa, Chief Justice of the Court of Cassation; Professor Dr. Abdullah Saif Al Sabousi, Secretary-General of the Dubai Judicial Council; Judge Omar Miran, Deputy Director of Dubai Courts; along with heads of courts and members of the Leadership Council for Development and Institutional Innovation.

Settlement worth billions

In 2024, the courts launched the ‘Human-Centered Justice’ strategy, aimed at improving litigants' experiences, especially for vulnerable groups, by simplifying procedures and enhancing transparency.

The amicable settlement centres achieved notable success, recording a total settlement value of Dh36.3 billion. This included a 74 per cent case settlement rate for the Family Guidance and Reform Department, and a settlement value of Dh25.6 billion for civil, commercial, and real estate disputes.

Calls dealt in 8 seconds
In the area of judicial staff development, Dubai Courts conducted 146 training courses, totaling 11,421 training hours. Additionally, 18 judges were trained under the "Judges of Tomorrow" programme, and the "Judicial Pathway" initiative was launched to enhance specialization in judicial work.

The Dubai Courts Call Centre delivered strong performance, handling 142,926 incoming calls with an average wait time of just 8 seconds. The centre responded to 41,005 inquiries via WhatsApp and 20,331 messages through instant chat platforms.

In 2024, the Courts achieved exceptional digital transformation milestones, with a digital service adoption rate of 99.1 per cent.

In the realm of artificial intelligence, Dubai Courts began deploying predictive analytics to anticipate potential disputes, developed smart tools to support judicial decision-making, and implemented automatic case classification systems, all contributing to faster and more accurate rulings.
