Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has ordered the administrative closure of Desi BnP General Trading LLC due to multiple food safety violations and posing a direct threat to consumer health.

The business, operating under trade licence CN-4466121, was found to be in breach of Law No. (2) of 2008 concerning food regulation in Abu Dhabi, as well as its related regulations.

According to ADAFSA, the shutdown was prompted by the establishment’s repeated failure to comply with food safety protocols and its inability to implement effective corrective measures, despite prior warnings.

The authority stressed that the closure will remain in effect until all violations are rectified and the company fully complies with food safety requirements. Operations may only resume once the facility corrects its status and demonstrates complete adherence to regulatory standards.

ADAFSA noted that the closure is part of its broader efforts to strengthen the emirate’s food safety system, which includes routine inspections of food establishments and a proactive approach to consumer protection.

The authority urged residents to report any suspected violations or concerns about food quality by contacting the Abu Dhabi Government's toll-free number 800555. Inspectors will follow up on all reports to ensure the safety and integrity of food across the emirate.
