The administrative closures will remain in effect until the violations are resolved
Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has ordered the administrative closure of three food establishments, two located in the capital and one in Al Ain, following repeated violations of the emirate’s food safety law.
According to a statement released by the authority, the closures were enacted in accordance with Law No. (2) of 2008 on food safety in Abu Dhabi and its associated regulatory framework. The decision came after inspectors determined that the establishments posed a “serious risk to public health,” citing persistent non-compliance and the failure to implement corrective measures.
The affected businesses include “Chettinadu Multi-Cuisine Restaurant LLC” (license CN-1070357) in Abu Dhabi, “Nasaem Al Nile Pastries and Sweets” (license CN-4472448) located in the Al Jimi area of Al Ain, and “Diamond City Supermarket” (license CN-1247285) situated in Mussafah, a major industrial and residential area of Abu Dhabi.
ADAFSA’s food control report indicated that these establishments had committed repeated breaches of food safety protocols. Despite previous warnings, they failed to rectify the infractions, prompting authorities to take immediate action in order to protect consumers.
“The administrative closures will remain in effect until the violations are resolved,” ADAFSA confirmed. “Operations may resume only after full compliance with food safety standards is achieved.”
ADAFSA has called on members of the public to report any observed violations or concerns regarding food safety by contacting the Abu Dhabi Government’s toll-free number, 800555.
