Cairo: At least 51 people were killed on Thursday in two attacks that targeted security facilities in the government-controlled city of Aden, the Dubai-based television Al Arabiya reported.

One attack, claimed by Iran-allied Al Houthi militants targeted a military camp at a time of a graduation ceremony. The dead included Brig. Munir Al Yafi, a commander of the support forces.

Al Houthi television Al Masirah reported that the extremists had fired an explosive drone and a medium-range ballistic missile at the camp.

The second attack was a car bombing that targeted a police station in Aden's district of Shaikh Othman, according to Al Arabiya.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for that attack.

Brig. Munir Al Yafi, a commander of the support forces, was killed in a missile explosion that occurred in the Al Jala Camp when a military parade was under way, online newspaper Adan Al Ghad said.
