Dubai: Saudi Arabia on Tuesday reported the detection of 539 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 334,187, the Ministry of Health said.

Twenty-seven more people have died from the complications caused by the virus in the past 24 hours, taking the country’s fatality tally to 4,739, Dr. Mohammad Al Abdul Ali, Health Ministry’s spokesperson said during a press conference on Monday.

An additional 696 infected patients have fully recovered from the deadly disease, pushing the total number of recovered cases to 318,542, with the recovery rate hitting a whopping 95.31 per cent.

Jeddah reported the highest daily cases with 61, followed by Mecca with 53 and Medina with 46.The remaining cases were detected in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom.
