Dubai: The Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced that the intensive care unit (ICU) bed capacity in Asir hospitals has been increased by 130 per cent.

The move aims to upgrade and improve health services in the region and meet the health needs of citizens and residents.

Earlier, the ministry announced its intention to add around 3,000 ICU beds within 90 days in various hospitals in all regions of the Kingdom to provide the highest levels of medical care to citizens and residents.

It also comes as a continuation of applying the highest precautionary standards and preventive measures to address the novel coronavirus pandemic.
