Mecca Police arrest father, who is remanded in custody

Abu Dhabi: The Mecca police have arrested a resident for shackling his daughter, beating her, filming the offence and posting a video clip of it on social media, police said.
The Mecca police have identified the man, in his 40s, said Major Mohammed Al Ghamidi, spokesperson for Mecca Police.
The man was remanded in custody and all measures were taken to move his file to prosecution for trial, Major Al Ghamidi added.
