Dubai: Saudi security forces have arrested an Egyptian national accused of killing a Saudi citizen and critically injuring the victim’s wife in a stabbing attack in Dhahran, located in the Kingdom’s Eastern Province.

According to authorities, the suspect was apprehended shortly after the incident by Eastern Region Police and has been referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal proceedings.

The victim’s wife, who sustained multiple stab wounds, was rushed to a hospital and remains in critical condition.

In a statement posted on its official X page, Saudi Public Security confirmed the arrest: “Security authorities arrested an Egyptian national for killing a citizen in the city of Dhahran and stabbing his wife several times, leaving her in critical condition.”
