Dubai: A Egyptian woman reportedly stabbed her Saudi husband to death after discovering his marriage to another woman, local media reported.
Police in Qaliubiya province in Egypt said they received a reports of a Saudi man being admitted to hospital for treatment following some serious injuries he sustained at home. Later he was pronounced dead.
The wife claimed that her husband had sustained serious injuries while trying to slaughter a goat inside their house. However, police did not believe her claims and launched an investigation.
At the beginning, the mother of four denied having anything to do with the death of her husband. But she later confessed to killing him after both had a row over his marriage of another woman. The row ended with the wife grabbing a kitchen knife and stabbing her husband many times in the chest.
The suspect has been arrested and will be referred to the public prosecution for further legal measures.
