Dubai: International flights from and to Saudi Arabia will remain suspended until further notice, the Saudi national carrier Saudia said on Sunday.

Flights will resume gradually and the schedule will be announced through official channels, the airlines said on its official Twitter account.

It said international flights allowed at the moment are only incoming flights carrying stranded Saudi citizens who are availing of the services provided in as part of “Awdah” (return) scheme.

Saudia also announced its domestic flights schedule, tweeting that flights between Jeddah and Hail will start operating on Monday, June 15.

Meanwhile, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has added five domestic airports as domestic flights resumed. They are the Bisha, Taif, Yanbu, Hafr Al Batin and Sharourah airports.

GACA resumed domestic flights on May 31 after consultations with health authorities and in compliance with the controls and precautionary measures taken to counter the new coronavirus pandemic.
