Cairo: Nearly 235,000 visitors from around the world attended a unique exhibition on the Holy Kaaba, located in the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Islam's most sacred site.

The First House exhibit, organized by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, welcomed 234,468 visitors during the Ramadan, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Ramadan traditionally marks the peak season for Umrah (the minor pilgrimage) at the Grand Mosque. Muslims worldwide face the Kaaba in their prayers, underscoring its central role in Islamic worship.

Presented in 10 languages, the First House exhibit explores the Kaaba’s history and construction over the centuries. Hosted in the third Saudi expansion of the Grand Mosque, the exhibition traces the Kaaba’s evolution from the time of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham, peace be upon him) to the present day.

Visitors experience an immersive educational journey through visual displays, motion graphics, artifacts, and interactive screens offering information in Arabic and English.
