Dubai: Qatar on Thursday announced the detection of 307 new coronavirus cases, taking the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 110,295

Two more people have died due to COVID-19-related complications, taking the country’s death tally to 171, the Ministry of Public Health said on Wednesday.

Further 286 recoveries have been reported, pushing the total number of recovered cases to 107,135.

According to the ministry’s latest update, additional 5,134 people were examined for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, taking the total number of tested people to 492,569.

With the newly reported recoveries, there are 3,154 active cases, including 420 critical and 91 seriously ill sufferers under intensive care.
