Dubai: Qatar on Monday reported 1,103 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 23,623.
The Ministry of Public Health also announced the recovery of 87 patient, pushing the total number of recovered patient to 2, 840.
The country’s death toll stand at 14 as no new fatalities have been reported during the last 24 hours. Health authorities said that 20,769 are active cases and still at hospitals receiving the necessary healthcare service and treatment.
The ministry said that most the newly diagnosed cases are linked to expatriate workers who had been in direct contact with the previously confirmed cases. There are also Qatari citizens among the newly detected cases.
