Cairo: Oman Friday confirmed 354 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the country’s total infections to 81,067, the Omani news agency ONA reported, citing a Health Ministry update.
The ministry also announced 10 new deaths from COVID-19, taking Oman’s total such fatalities to 502.

The country’s overall recoveries from the disease have increased by 1,353 to reach 72,263, the ministry added.
Oman is set to lift a two-week total lockdown between its governorates as of Friday afternoon. A nighttime curfew in place to contain the spread of COVID-19 will be shortened as of Saturday.
A Health Ministry report disclosed Thursday said that epidemiological data indicate signs of a drop in overall infection cases in the sultanate.
