Dubai: Four people have been arrested on charges of smuggling illegal expat workers into Oman by sea, local media reported on Thursday.
According to a statement issued by the Royal Oman Police (ROP), police busted an operation to smuggle illegal expat workers into the country.
North Al Batinah Governorate police arrested four people, including two Omanis and two expatriates, on smuggling charges.
The arrests were carried out in cooperation with foreign networks. The suspects are in custody pending further investigation and trial.
