Muscat: Oman’s Ministry of Health announced they will soon start home vaccination for the category of clinically disabled and people with special needs. Thamra bint Saeed Al Ghafriya, Director General of Health Services for the Governorate of Muscat, said that further details of the modus operandi for home vaccination for the above-mentioned group will be announced soon. The service will be available from Sunday to Thursday.

The DG also confirmed that the drive-through vaccination service at the Oman Automobile Association will be reactivated. The drive-through facility, though fully functional, had not been opened for vaccination services as mentioned earlier.

However, the Ministry of Health will resume tomorrow the drive-through vaccination service at the headquarters of the Omani Automobile Association for the age group of 45 years and above, and also for pregnant women, who have been advised to go for their vaccines from the fourth month of pregnancy. The drive-through will be open from 3pm till 7pm. Oman is currently on a partial lockdown from 8pm till 4am till further notice.
