COVID-19: Oman registers record 1,605 new cases

Latest cases raise infections to 31,076, fatalities to 137

Cairo: Oman Monday confirmed record 1,605 further cases of the novel coronavirus, raising to 31,076 the country's overall infections, the Omani news agency ONA reported.

The newly diagnosed cases include 684 Omanis and 921 foreign residents, the Health Ministry said without providing a breakdown of foreign nationalities.

The ministry also reported six more deaths from COVID-19, taking Oman's total of such fatalities to 137.

The country's overall recoveries from the disease has increased by 856 to take the total to 16,408, the ministry said.
